Words Gave Me My Voice

I always wanted to tell my story but I felt like I couldn't speak. My writings help me have a voice. Whenever I write a poem it's from the heart, yeah I am talented and have the broadest imagination but my poems are the voices I never had and according to my poems I have multiple personalities. People ask how can someone in your writings hurt so bad, its as if I can feel the words that you write, well isn't that the point? For all the years that I was introverted and wasn't allowed to really say how I felt, for all the years that I was every one's "lil cousin" and my opinion never seemed to matter, well I write for you. I write so you can finally feel what I been through, I write so you can feel the anger I have towards certain situations. I write so you can feel the disappointment I have in my family members. I write so you can finally stop looking at me like I'm crazy because of the decisions I am making in my life. Hoping one day you may realize that I am not the same quiet lil girl that doesn't know how to speak up and say whats on her mind. I write so you can feel this positive energy flowing around me, I hope you feel my optimism, that I will prove anyone who ever doubted me wrong, so you can finally realize that I am the number priority in my life, no more doing for everyone and making everyone happy, time to make Quintasha happy, and I am! I am in love with the thought of success cause I see it in my future.I'm not saying I don't need guidance because a bunch of great people has helped mold me into the woman that I am today and I'm sure they know who they are, I'm simply saying do not fret when I make mistakes because I'm only 20, trying to find my way in life and mistakes is what I will make. When you see me down hold me up don't leave me on the ground because I wouldn't do it to you. Be there when I need you and I will be there when you call and to those who is think I've been MIA, well you wasn't there when I needed positive people around me so I wont be around you no time soon and this is why i think i am a writer.
