Thank You to my Ex…

Today is a bitter sweet day. Today I celebrate a full year of being single. To some that’s not a big deal but to me this means that I would have been with my first love for two years by now. Therefore, it’s a bitter sweet moment. Bitter sweet in the since that I have been over him for months now. In the since that I learned a lot from that relationship. It helped me to better myself as a person. Why do I acknowledge this situation? Simply because I want to let everyone realize how much how I have grown in as little as a year. I view myself differently, not only do I view me differently I view men differently. Things I once got mad at I see it from their point of view. My room mate gets mad when I take her boyfriends side more than hers. I'ts not because he is right, it's more of me realizing that there’s two sides to every situation and instead of rejecting that person you have to see it from their side. So I thank the man that I once poured my soul into. I thank him for helping me become the women that I am today. I am able to have better relationships.
