Cockroach Brains May Hold New Antibiotics?

I always thought that there was no need for roaches in the world. According to recent studies however, cockroach brains may be the source to many of our problems. The brains of these insects produce natural antibiotics that can kill off bacteria deadly to humans. Examples are MRSA and E Coli. Another insect that has been tested are two species of locust and scientist found their brains too produce these antibiotics. Ever wondered why roaches can live in the most grimy places? Well this is why. Nine separate antibacterial have been tested and it was discovered that each molecule killed off a different type of bacteria. So next time you go to kill a cockroach just think about one day that could be the source of the next cure.
